Vegetable Detox Tips — Green Powder

Vegetable Detox Tips — Green Vibrance

What’s the point of vegetable detox?  To unburden the body of the things weighing it down, ie toxins.  Detoxifying the body, especially naturally with vegetables, is one of the best ways to get the body back to feeling great, vital, and vibrantly alive.  If you’re really serious about your vegetable detox and wanting to get your body unburdened and back to peak efficiency, then you really ought to check out this product to the left.  Why is that?

How This Powder Benefits Your Vegetable Detox

Two reasons.  One, this green powder formula is made from all natural vegetable sources and has much more nutrition, vitamins, and minerals, than vegetables at the grocery store, which you need if you’re wanting to get your body back to peak efficiency.  Because of the lack of nutritional value in most vegetables sold in grocery stores these days, to get your body feeling great and efficient, you need to find a nutrition source that’s loaded with trace elements, vitamins, and minerals.  Otherwise, cellular malnutrition begins to take hold, and causes many more problems.

Two, this green powder boosts a few very important systems in your body: your digestive system and your metabolism.  Let’s cover the metabolism first.  Did you know that the metabolism is just defined as the total sum of chemical reactions taking place inside your body?  That’s a pretty simple explanation right?  So it stands to reason that if your cells are starving through years of not giving them the trace nutrients they need, that they aren’t going to be able to perform as many chemical processes right?  That’s why I love this green powder as part of your vegetable detox.  Not only does it help detox your body naturally, it also helps end cellular malnutrition, which keeps your metabolism at a snails pace.  Many people suffer from cellular malnutrition and don’t even know it.  If you’re giving your body lots of nutrients, not starving your cells of the trace elements they need, your metabolism naturally speeds up.  More chemical processes take place and more energy is yielded.

So let’s move on to the digestive system.  We don’t have time to get into it now, but the digestive systems of most Americans are very poor due to easy-to-digest snacks, sodas, refined sugars, fast foods, and other overly-processed foods invading our diets.  You need to eat more food just to get the same nutritional value.  That means more toxins.  So boosting your digestive system allows you to get more nutrition out of less food, exposing you to fewer future toxins, and letting your body maximize what it already has.

Detox Vegetables — Cabbage

Cabbage is a Great Detox Vegetable

Though cabbage is a great way to boost your vegetable detox, in order to use it correctly, one will probably also start losing a lot of weight in the process.  Why is that?  One, it’s full of fiber, which has two main benefits.  Fiber is a great detox compound that gently cleanses the body of toxins.  But fiber is also indigestible, meaning that it doesn’t contain any calories.  So when you eat a vegetable that’s high in fiber, you get full, but you’re not actually eating much digestible food.  This helps the body to cleanse itself even more because fasting is one of the best methods for detoxing.  When a person fasts, their body goes into a special detox mode.  Their metabolism alters and the body begins to purify itself until the end of the fast.  That’s why I said that using cabbage properly for detox will ultimately lead to weight loss as well.  If you eat lots of cabbage, as with the cabbage soup diet, you’ll essentially be filling your body with fiber, but not many other calories.  This will cause a fasting-like state to come about in which your body will quickly begin burning fat and ridding itself of toxins.

How to Eat Cabbage for Detox

  • Soup.  Most people who want to eat cabbage for detox and weight loss generally go on the cabbage soup diet.  These diets are usually 7 days long or so, and are essentially a way of eating and fasting at the same time.  Cabbage soup has very few calories and is mostly fiber, allowing your body to still get food, but at the same time, watching the fat melt away and the toxins disappear.  Going on the 7 day cabbage soup diet is very difficult, but afterward, your metabolism should see a marked increase, and you should feel more energetic.  The only thing to watch out for is that you don’t load your body up with toxins again.  After a fast, the body is very eager to reclaim its lost supplies of fat.  It wants to store whatever it can, and toxins often find their way in again very easily.  In order to keep your metabolism revved up and your weight off, keep eating lots of other detox vegetables.

Vegetable Detox Tips — Chlorella

Great Sale on Chlorella from a Good Brand

Chlorella for Vegetable Detox

Chlorella is almost an essential for anyone wanting to start a vegetable detox plan.  Why is that?  Because Chlorella is the richest natural source of chlorophyll on the planet and from my opinion, chlorophyll is definitely the most essential detox compound a person can take.  The reason why is because chlorophyll so readily binds with toxins so that the body can collect them and process them out of its system.  There are a lot of great detox vegetables out there, things like cilantro and onion, that cause toxins to release from their hiding places out into the body.  But what happens then?  At that point, you need a compound like chlorophyll that will grab the floating toxins and hold onto them until the body has time to process them all out.  Otherwise the toxins might just end up getting stuck somewhere else inside the body.

What is Chlorella Anyway?

Chlorella is a single celled algae that’s grown and harvested primarily in Japan.  Like I said earlier, it’s the richest source of chlorophyll on the planet.  But that’s somewhat of an understatement.  Chlorella has on average 10 times more chlorophyll than most edible grasses like wheatgrass and barley grass.  That’s a pretty amazing difference.  But beyond that, Chlorella also has a huge amount of other vitamins and minerals.  Chlorella is called a superfood, meaning that it has all of the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients vital for life.  This is especially important in our modern culture of corporate farming methods and under-fertilization.  Even though you might buy fresh vegetables from the store, the nutritional value of those vegetables is weak due to many years of corporate farms cutting costs and only fertilizing their soil enough to make the vegetables grow again the next year.  Studies have shown that vegetables grown today are vastly less nutritious than vegetables grown 50 years ago.  Many people have deficiencies in trace minerals and don’t even know it.  That’s why taking a compound like Chlorella can be a really great idea.  Not only does it come power packed with chlorophyll, but it has a wealth of other nutrients and trace minerals as well.  I’ve found you a great deal on Chlorella from one of my favorite brands.  Check it out for more information.

Vegetable Detox Tips — Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass on a Great Sale from a Quality Distributor

Wheatgrass Boosts Your Vegetable Detox

If you’re really looking for a positive vegetable detox plan, then you’ll probably want to go with a green powder of some form like wheatgrass.  Wheatgrass became popular in the 90s with juiced shots being offered in many juice shops.  Wheatgrass powder is one of the few edible grasses to the human digestive system, and is very high in chlorophyll.  If you aren’t yet familiar with the amazing detox properties of chlorophyll, we’ll go through them again quickly.  Chlorophyll is very beneficial as a detoxing agent for two reasons.  One, it binds to toxins and allows the body to process them out of the system.  Two, it positively effects blood flow, allowing more oxygenated blood to flow throughout the body, which helps the body to cleanse itself.

The only potential drawback with adding wheatgrass into your vegetable detox plan is that because it became so popular back in the 90s, there are some scams and other potential hazards you need to watch out for.  Some bulk distributors of wheatgrass get their product direct from China, which traditionally hasn’t been known to have very high quality standards and is notorious for using fillers in their foods, some of which are very harmful to humans.  I think back to 2008, when 53,000 children got sick from a filler that was used in milk.  So be warned.  Just because a bulk wheatgrass powder says USDA Organic on it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s safe.  The best practice is to buy from a trusted brand like the one pictured up top.

The great thing about wheatgrass is that it contains a lot of trace elements as well, vitamins and minerals that are rare in the modern age.  With poor corporate farming methods and substandard fertilization techniques, fruits and vegetables in the modern age have been shown through testing to have less nutrients than fruits and vegetables 50 years ago.  In some cases, the fruit and vegetables tested today have 50% less nutritional value than those grown and eaten 50 years ago.  So getting all of the trace nutrients your body needs can be a difficult task.  That’s why I like the idea of taking a green powder like wheatgrass along with your vegetable detox.

Detox Vegetables — Spinach

Detox Vegetables — Spinach

Spinach is one of the world’s most powerful detox vegetables.  This is primarily due to its high chlorophyll content.  A single ounce of Spinach contains 300-600 mg of chlorophyll, which is pretty high, especially considering how inexpensive spinach is compared with other chlorophyll-dense greens like wheatgrass.  Chlorophyll is a very beneficial detoxing compound because it binds with toxins and allows the body to process them out of the system.  Not only that, but the chemical structure of chlorophyll is similar to the chemical structure of the hema in human hemoglobin.  Because of that, chlorophyll has a positive effect on the blood and helps to boost blood flow and oxygen.  This helps the body to naturally cleanse itself and remove more toxins.  Toxins are like lead weights that keep the body weighed down, so most foods that either speed up the metabolism or help blood flow generally also have positive detox effects as well.  Chlorophyll is special in that it has both a direct and an indirect detoxification effect.  Spinach is one of the cheapest, best ways to get chlorophyll into your diet.  Spinach is probably the best way to boost your vegetable detox plan.

Tips for Eating More Spinach

  • Spinach Salad.  This is the best way to get spinach.  Not only are you eating the spinach raw, which is the best way to eat most detox vegetables.  Spinach salad is especially powerful because you can combine spinach with other detox vegetables, such as cilantro.  Combining spinach with fresh cilantro in a salad is very possibly the very best vegetable detox combination.  Cilantro has very special detoxing properties that allow it to deep clean the body and release heavy metals from where they’re entrenched in places like the brain.  But in order to efficiently process these toxins, your body needs something like chlorophyll to bind to the wandering toxins and allow them to be processed so they don’t just lodge somewhere else in the body.  Eating spinach and cilantro together is an amazing way to both release and process deeply rooted toxins.
  • Spinach Dip.  Spinach dip is another awesome way to enjoy spinach.  Spinach dip is generally really tasty and usually has other beneficial ingredients like artichoke.  If you’re a person who likes to snack, why not get some spinach dip loaded with spinach and also get some nice fresh salsa full of cilantro and onion.  The salsa will help speed up your metabolism and give you some extra detox vegetables to combine with the chlorophyll from the spinach.  To make it even healthier, get low sodium chips that are made with whole grains.  That way, you can both fulfill your snacking cravings and still get lots of detox vegetables into your system.
